Our team at East Milton Dental continually engages in extensive training to ensure that we offer our patients the best care possible. The practice of dentistry has come a long way in the past decade and our goal is to keep on top of new trends and procedures in order to best serve the East Milton Dental patient family.

Meet the Doctors

Dr. Daniel P. Sweeney

Dr. Sweeney grew up in Milton, MA and attended Boston College High School. Received an Associates degree from Boston University in 1961 and a Bachelors of Art from Loyola College in 1965. He then continued his education obtaining a Masters Degree from Suffolk University before entering Georgetown University School of Dentistry where he graduated in 1977.

Dr. Sweeney has been practicing dentistry in Milton for 35 years. He is always searching for new and innovative ways to best serve his patients. He loves dentistry and prides himself on constantly continuing his education through seminars, study clubs and dental meetings. Dr. Sweeney also enjoys spending time on Cape Cod, reading, playing golf and staying active.

Dr. Catherine Sweeney – Regan

Dr. Sweeney–Regan is a graduate from Dalhousie University Faculty of Dentistry with extensive training in Advanced Restorative Techniques. Kate also received a Masters in Biology from UMass Boston summa cum laude and a degree in Biology from Colby College.

Prior to pursuing a career in Dentistry, Kate worked in a biochemistry/genetics research laboratory at the Marine Biological Laboratories in Woods Hole, MA. She also enjoyed teaching high school Biology and Chemistry at Blue Hills Regional.

Kate makes herself available to her patients with extended evening hours and for emergencies as needed. She has had extensive implant training at the Bicon Implant Center completing all of their continuing education courses. Additionally, Kate spent the summer working at the implant center placing and restoring dental implants. She is excited to be offering implant placement at East Milton Dental.

Kate grew up in Milton. She was in the first French Immersion class and attended Milton High School where she was an active athlete playing and captaining the Wildcat field hockey, ice hockey and softball teams. She went on to play and captain the Colby College Women's Ice Hockey team. Kate and her husband Michael Regan enjoy spending time fishing, skiing, golfing, playing hockey and cooking.

Dental Hygienist

Maryellen

Maryellen is a lifetime Milton resident and an alumnus of Milton High School. She went on to continue her education at the University of Rhode Island where she received her BS and became a Registered Dental Hygienist. Maryellen is a dedicated and experienced dental hygienist. She is committed to helping her patients attain the best dental health possible. Maryellen is very active in the Milton community including serving as a Town Meeting Member. She is a very proud mother of two Milton Public School Children and athletes. Maryellen and her husband Rick enjoy spending time with their two wonderful children.

Patient Treatment Coordinator

Donella

Donella is the first person patients meet at East Milton Dental. She does a fantastic job of making each patient feel welcomed and special. Donella has been a key part of East Milton Dental as the Patient Treatment Coordinator for over 17 years and a patient of Dr. Sweeney's since 1980. She has a background as a Medical Technician.

Donella is also a very proud mother and grandmother. Donella and her husband Jim enjoy spending time with their family, going to the gym and relaxing on the beach.

Dental Assistant

Mary

Mary graduated from Massasoit Community College as a Certified Dental Assistant in 1983. She has been working with Dr. Sweeney for over 20 years. Mary is a very important part of the East Milton Dental team. She has a great relationship with all the patients and works hard to ensure that everything runs smoothly at East Milton Dental. Mary and her husband are proud parents of three beautiful children and lead a very active life.
